Leland, NC Flood Response

The HEART 9/11 Leland, NC Flood Response team provided vital assistance to the victims of the devastating floods. One of the affected households belonged to a dedicated firefighter who found himself facing 3 feet of water on the lower level of his home. The second household was that of an army veteran and sheriff's deputy for the county. The third home belonged to a pair of retirees. All three homes suffered significant damage, with water levels reaching 3 to 4 feet inside. This highly skilled and committed team was comprised of active firefighters from IAFF Local 129 and Local 4576.
