Caruth Police Institute of the University of North Texas at Dallas SMART Training
CPI at UNT Dallas is a police science institute dedicated to excellence in research, policy analysis, and training. They have established an essential role in the State of Texas in first responder mental health.
In January, HEART 9/11 will begin training officers from the Caruth Police Institute in the SMART Program. The training will start on January 12 and run for four consecutive weeks.
HEART 9/11’s mission is to transfer the hard-learned lessons from 9/11 and the Sandy Hook School Shooting, combined with the research and science of academia, to those suffering under the weight of stress. Read more about the Program
