Puerto Rico declared a state of emergency after being struck by a series of powerful earthquakes. Many living in the affected areas along the southern coast of the island are sleeping outside due to their homes being damaged. HEART 9/11 is on the ground responding.

  • In contact with organizations on the ground in Ponce to identify immediate needs for our assistance and to help the communities and families affected by these earthquakes
The needs on the ground are urgent. The local community leadership in Ponce, Guanica, Yauco, Penuelas and Guayanilla are dependent on the skills and disaster experience of HEART 9/11 and we are dependent on you and your goodwill to help others in their times of crisis.
Donations are needed to purchase building materials, cots, tools, water, along with ground transportation for delivering building supplies.
HEART 9/11 Board of Directors member Edward Danberry lost his battle to cancer July 25th, 2020. In lieu of flowers the Danberry Family has requested making a tax-deductible donation to HEART 9/11 in Ed's name.
