HEART 9/11 is proud to be making a difference rebuilding Puerto Rico with NY Governor Andrew Cuomo’s “NY stands with Puerto Rico” initiative. HEART 9/11 is providing the skilled manpower and teaching SUNY/CUNY students roof repair in Orocovis – an isolated mountain community that sustained rain and wind damage to 100s of homes during Hurricane Maria and La Playita. The critical need in Puerto Rico is roof repair. We are rapidly approaching the 2018 hurricane season and so many homes have still not been repaired from Hurricane Maria.

Thank you NYCDCC, FDNY, NERCC, Local 79, Gary LaBarbera – President of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater NY, Steamfitters Local 638, Sheet Metal Workers Local 28, DC9, IBEW Local 3, BAC Local 7 for supporting HEART 9/11’s mission to Respond, Rebuild, Recover.
