Mission Accomplished! The Peter Glancy disaster response trailer is now located in Wilmington, NC, in preparation for the 2020 hurricane season. Thank you, Wilmington FD for your warm welcome and logistics help. The trailer is loaded with emergency equipment (flood, wind, collapse damage), mucking out tools, communications, and living on the fly equipment (cots, toiletries, etc.). The trailer was donated in honor of Peter Glancy, who immigrated from Ireland as a youngster, served in the U.S. Army, and protected NYC as an FDNY firefighter. Peter’s commitment to the community was on full display following Superstorm Sandy. Once he had gutted his home of contaminated materials/water, Peter’s family opened their home to serve as the HEART 9/11 operations base to help their neighbors in Queens. The Glancy trailer has proudly responded to numerous hurricanes and veteran builds.

HEART 9/11 Board of Directors member Edward Danberry lost his battle to cancer July 25th, 2020. In lieu of flowers the Danberry Family has requested making a tax-deductible donation to HEART 9/11 in Ed's name.
