 This special program looks to explore human solidarity by bringing together distinguished humanitarian figures and Aurora Prize finalists to discuss what drives them to risk their lives to stand up for others in challenging situations.

 Vartan Gregorian, President of the Carnegie Corporation of New York, and Co-Founder of the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative.
Keynote Presentation
Dr. Philip Zimbardo, Psychologist, Professor Emeritus at Stanford University, and Founder and President of the Heroic Imagination Project, will focus on the nature of everyday heroism.
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion
moderated by David Ignatius, Associate Editor and Columnist at The Washington Post.
