The HEART 9/11 Board would like to thank our members and supporters for a job well done in 2013. HEART 9/11’s response experts have been busier than ever in delivery of critical services to those most in need. HEART 9/11 is paying it forward delivering the hard learned lessons from the WTC Rescue/Recovery Mission and keeping our promise to “Never Forget”.
Hurricane Sandy Response

55 Week Sustained Response in Brooklyn and Queens, NY (10/30/12 -11/23/13)
120 homes gutted and made safe
Rebuilt 242 homes 92 more than contracted – on budget, ahead of schedule, no injuries
362 families directly assisted by the HEART 9/11 Sandy Rebuild effort

Community Outreach

Over 300 people and families directly impacted by HEART 9/11 behavioral modification services through resilience boot camps and mental health first aid education
