Robin Hood Foundation Relief Fund works with the best community organizations that are helping the residents of the tri-state area rebuild after Hurricane Sandy.
The Robin Hood Foundation has awarded HEART 9/11 a third grant to continue the rebuild effort they have been involved in since Hurricane Sandy hit Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn.
To date, because of Robin Hood’s two previous grants, HEART 9/11 has rebuilt 170 homes (70 more than contracted), and completed the builds on budget, on time, with no injuries. Thank you Laborers Local 79 – New York City, LIUNA, New York City & Vicinity District Council of Carpenters, BuildingWorks for providing much of the expert skilled workforce.
Grant Three gives HEART 9/11 the opportunity to rebuild 50 additional houses by end of November in Gerritsen Beach.
We would like to say a major thanks to the Robin Hood Foundation for supporting our work and not forgetting this community in need. Together we will recover, repair, rebuild.
