To All H.E.A.R.T. 9/11 Members,

The H.E.A.R.T. 9/11 Executive Board and Team Leaders have been monitoring the progress of Hurricane Irene. The weather analysts have presented a number of scenarios. While we anticipate changes to these forecasts, we are beginning to see that the storm will hit most heavily between North Carolina, New Jersey and Long Island. H.E.A.R.T. 9/11 is preparing an initial response of twelve to twenty emergency responders to move to the area of most need sometime Monday. This response could very well be in our “backyard” in NY or NJ.

We are looking for police, fire, EMTs and construction experts to participate in this first response. We anticipate a two or three day response. H.E.A.R.T. 9/11 will make all logistical arrangements for vounteers.  Our newly stocked tool trailer is ready to go. Please reply to chrisbalas@heart911.org ASAP if you are available.
Thank you,

William Keegan
