The HEART 9/11 Rebuild Team made quite an impression in Wimberley, Texas last week. Thirty HEART 9/11 volunteers were boots on the ground Monday (4/11) in Wimberley, Texas. Blanco River Regional Recovery Team-BR3T identified 3 Vietnam veteran homes severely damaged in the spring flood, repaired and damaged again in the fall flood for HEART 9/11 to repair. Work included: roughing-out plumbing and electric, framing, insulation/sheetrock/taping, installation of windows/door frames, kitchen cabinets and exterior siding repair. HEART 9/11 believes when you help others you heal yourself. Thank you HEART 9/11 Rebuild Team – police/fire fighters from the NY/NJ – Project Cohort and Marcos Do Val and crew for taking flood damaged buildings and making homes – places that ground, build and nurture.
