A highly decorated Lieutenant in the Special Operations Division (S.O.D.) and a 20-year veteran of the Port Authority Police Department, Bill Keegan was Night Operations Commander of the WTC Rescue/Recovery Teams, and awarded the highest medal for the WTC 9/11 assault. Bill is a member of the New York and New Jersey Honor Legions. In 2007, he founded HEART 9/11 (Healing Emergency Aid Response Team) – a non-profit disaster response organization comprised of police, fire, union construction workers, 9/11 surviving families and those who share our belief that we can help ourselves by helping others, – all volunteer led – helping first responders and victims of disasters by transferring hard earned lessons of the World Trade Center rescue/recovery mission. The Mission of HEART 9/11 is to ameliorate the suffering of individuals and communities coping with disasters and related trauma.

When disaster strikes...
our volunteers need to be prepared to respond at a moment's notice. Please give now so we are ready when tragedy hits.
